We offer a wide range of quality comprehensive evaluation and assessment services to help children, adolescents and adults improve overall functioning across multiple settings.

All of our assessments are conducted by a mental health professional holding a Doctor of Psychology (Psy.D. or PhD) or Doctor of Education (EdD), who are either a licensed psychologist or are under the direct supervision of a license psychologist. All clinicians are governed by the California Board of Psychology.

The types of assessments offered include:

  • Learning Disabilities Assessment
  • Attention Deficit Evaluation
  • Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) Evaluation
  • Accommodation Assessment
  • Psychological Testing

Learning Disabilities Assessment

Appropriate for children, adolescents and young adults who are achieving below their expected academic level in one or more areas. In this situation, it is important to understand how an individual learns best by determining strengths and weaknesses – both cognitively and academically.

Our clinicians look to rule out other possible difficulties that may be contributing to academic struggles such as deficits in attention, processing or memory.

A detailed report of the findings, which includes a diagnosis and specific recommendations for interventions, is provided.

Attention Deficit Evaluation

Appropriate when inattention, poor focus and concentration, impulsivity, hyperactivity, and/or disorganization interfere with an individual’s learning, social relationships or work.

Attention deficit evaluations examine an individual’s:

  • ability to execute tasks and manage activities of daily living
  • ability to think, read, learn, remember, reason and pay attention
  • impulse control
  • reaction to stimulus

Our clinicians look to rule out other possible difficulties that may be contributing to deficits in attention.

A detailed report of the findings, which includes a diagnosis and specific recommendations for interventions, will be provided.

Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) Evaluation

Our ASD evaluations are conducted using evidenced-based measures, including the Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule (ADOS). Diagnostic evaluations follow best practices recommendations for identifying a diagnosis on the autism spectrum.

The ASD assessment also make use of various behavioral checklists, as well as information from interviews with parents and other professionals in the individual’s life.

A detailed report of the findings, which includes a diagnosis and specific recommendations for interventions, is provided.

Accommodation Assessments

Accommodation assessments include a specific collection of testing tools for students (children, adolescents or adults) who feel they need additional accommodations for performing up to their potential on standardized assessments such as the S.A.T., G.R.E., etc., as well as accommodations in the school setting.

Accommodation assessments can identify the inability for an individual to complete an action or activity in the way it should be completed or in the time frame considered normal. This type of assessment provides important information needed to understand the underlying academic struggles which may include attention deficit disorder or attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADD/ADHD), learning disabilities, depression or anxiety.

A detailed report of findings includes individualized recommendations that are tailored to the specific standardized test or institution.

Psychological Testing

Psychological testing is conducted when a more thorough understanding of emotional concerns is indicated. These tests help parents, teachers, spouses and therapists better understand an individual’s symptoms and challenges and how they impact the individual’s ability to function in various settings and environments.

Psychological assessments can provide clarity into understanding personality traits and features, along with identifying current coping strategies used in daily life that may negatively or positively impact functioning.

A detailed report of the findings, which includes a diagnosis and specific recommendations for interventions, is provided.
